QUIKDROP Debrief

Presentation :
The theme of our presentation was a "user centred design". Throughout this project we have focused on the target market of this shared bike system and how we can address their needs. In order to explore the user needs we set up three Characters to communicate the user interaction sequence.

Cost:
At quikdrop we find it is important to focus on the cost of design even at a university level. The frame made up of mostly outsourced components and CHS, require only one costly member that needs to be formed. That member became the feature of our atheistic design. Finally the pay station and docks are simple equal angle and stainless sheet. This procedure requires more work from us as students as we must source the parts rather than use our creative freedom.
Conclusion:
The quick drop design methodology has always focused on a realistic outcome and consequently we improved our suitability for public domain and hire. We believe that the stationary products we designed (pay station and dock) are an important part of displaying the vernacular of Melbourne and we find our subtle frame will blend into the growing bike community.
